My Old Man
May 7, 2008Its been a while since i last put anything here in this blog, been too busy working and looking out for my dying father(he succumbed to cancer this Sunday and got cremated yesterday). Prior to February 2008 everything is just normal. All that changed when one day my mom told me “papa is sick again“, (Papa undergone chemo and cobalt treatment in 2001when he was diagnosed with hodgkin’s lymphoma). It was an extremely painful & stressful 3 months, but it was also a very special time, filled with love and a closeness that transcended our lives as
they previously existed. This experience taught me alot. I wish I had never had to learn it, but in some ways, I am grateful. I now truly know what it means to “live in the moment”. Thank you, Papa. I love you.
